The AIA own and maintain Dreel Halls for the benefit of the community. They also do lots of good works in the area and have supported East Neuk Tabletop Games since the beginning of the club. In fact, Dreel Halls is ENT's birthplace, so it's very dear to our hearts. This event is a way of helping to give something back to the charity and the local community. If you'd like to know more about the AIA and what they do, their website is here:

*** SO WHAT'S THIS ALL ABOUT? ***
Wargames are a fun way to play with "toy soldiers" on miniature landscapes laid out on a tabletop. Whether you're curious about the wargaming hobby or a seasoned wargamer, there's sure to be something for you at SALLY FORTH! There will be 8 demonstration wargames on show throughout the day covering everything from samurai battles, medieval warfare, Napoleonic clashes, the American Civil War, World War II engagements, fantasy fisticuffs and sci-fi skirmishes!
If you've ever wondered how on earth such games are played, well SALLY FORTH is the event for you. Each game will be played out before your eyes and you'll be able to quiz the combatants on the whys and wherefores of the whole shebang. And if you play your cards right, you might even get a chance to influence the course of the action!
Wargaming is a truly multi-faceted hobby including everything from collecting models & books, model making, crafting, painting, historical research, lore-delving, world-building, campaign play and even inventing imagi-nations. Not to mention an offline social activity in an increasingly digital world. It provides a much-needed escape from incessant notifications and can act as a form of active meditation... as well as being good fun to boot!
*** PROGRAMME OF EVENTS ***
Doors are at 10am. There will be a break for lunch (12 - 1pm), an intermission (3 - 4pm) and a break for dinner (6 - 7pm), but apart from that it'll be games games games all day long!
Here is a list of the games that will be on show, the genre that they're in, the size of the figures that the game will be played with, and who will be putting on the demonstration:
SLOT 1: 10am - 3pm
SLOT 2: 4pm - 9pm
*** FLEA MARKET ***
Due to the size of the event, there will be no official flea market. But you can bring the odd wargaming-related thing that you'd like to sell, trade or give to a good home. But please note: You are responsible for anything that you bring and buy.

High Street West, Anstruther, Fife, KY10 3DJ
(click here for a Google map showing the venue)
*** FOOD ***
There is a corner shop nearby with a cash machine outside, and a takeaway called Munchies not far beyond that (serving everything from breakfast rolls to wraps etc). Bread & Butter Cafe is also close at hand and there is of course a plethora of chips shops along the shorefront, the nearest being The Wee Chippy. The local Coop is also not far from the halls and is open 7am - 10pm.
*** BUSES ***
Stagecoach operate two bus services which pass through Anstruther. If you're travelling from the East or West on the 95 bus then there's bus stops on either side of the halls. If you press the buzzer once you see the halls, then you can get off at the nearest stop. If you're getting the X61 bus then the closest stop is at Anstruther harbour. You'll be able to see Dreel Halls from there.
*** PARKING ***
The nearest carpark to the halls is down a small side street called "The Esplanade". It forks off from the main road at the sharp corner that Dreel Halls sits at. From there its a short walk to the halls. Failing that, the next nearest carpark is on Station Road, and failing that the Coop. From there you can make a beeline towards the halls down a cobbled lane called "The Loan" (just by the mini roundabouts), or take the pavement along the main road for a slightly dog-legged route.
